VIDT DAO is a validation technology service that helps users timestamp their data on a blockchain. This makes it easier for users to retrieve data and, if necessary, link it to other online elements. Data transparency and verification are an integral part of any project aiming to scale in Web3.
Vidt's goal in Web3
VIDT reached out to Chase during their rebranding process to help announce their immediate transition from VIDT DATALINK to VIDT DAO. The project's timeline was shorter than our usual month-long projects.
The main objective for VIDT was to announce to the crypto community that the VIDT token would be relaunched on the Binance exchange (the most popular exchange in crypto) and to generate enough hype during the process to attract interest from other players in the crypto space.
VIDT relied on our storytelling and expertise in Web3 marketing to craft a message that would appeal to both Web3 users and older generations of crypto enthusiasts. They were aware of our previous successes and our ability to promote NFTs and token events using growth hacking strategies and targeted social media campaigns to reach the ideal audience.
As always, our Web3 team led the project and worked tirelessly for 7 days to prepare the VIDT token launch, ensuring everything was ready for release the following week.
Adapting marketing in a declining market
The main communication channel for Web3 and VIDT is Twitter, where most interactions take place. VIDT already had a strong social media following, with impactful interactions that engaged their community using memes.
For this campaign, we focused solely on Binance exchange users, targeting accounts and profiles on both Twitter and Telegram, where discussions about new tokens, Binance listings, and investment opportunities would occur.
Since Twitter was the primary channel, we implemented growth hacking campaigns to reach the ideal audience using visuals, copywriting, influencer marketing, and chat engagements that effectively acted as micro-influencers within smaller communities on Twitter and Discord.
For VIDT, we collaborated with a prominent crypto influencer who matched the brand's tone of voice. By using humor and a relaxed tone, we combined the FTX event with the VIDT token launch.

What proved challenging during the process was adjusting our marketing efforts and messaging to account for the crypto market downturn caused by the FTX exchange scandal. Periods of high market volatility and fear increase skepticism among token holders, affecting how they perceive new tokens and their willingness to spend during market uncertainty.
What results did we achieve for VIDT?
Despite the market situation, VIDT successfully informed the crypto community about the relaunch of their VIDT DAO token on Binance.

Through growth hacking strategies, VIDT's Twitter accounts gained significant visibility and ranked highly on targeted hashtags like #Binance and #VIDT, giving the brand extra organic exposure. The hashtag #VIDT also trended in the UAE on Twitter.

VIDT had a slow launch, but by leveraging the awareness generated through Chase's storytelling, they managed to spark additional interest in VIDT in the following months as the market regained momentum.
